What is MPG Food Grade?
Food-grade Mono Propylene Glycol (CAS 57-55-6), also known as 1,2-propanediol, is a clear, colorless, practically odorless and tasteless, hygroscopic liquid that is fully miscible with water. Produced to USP/EP standards, it is a versatile, low-toxicity ingredient used across food, beverage, flavour, cosmetic and pharmaceutical formulations. In the EU it is registered as food additive E1520.
