Gas Dehydration
Primary glycol used to remove moisture from natural gas in dehydration towers.
Rotterdam Chemicals Group supplies Tri Ethylene Glycol (TEG), a highly hygroscopic glycol used primarily in natural gas dehydration, as well as in solvents, coolants, and chemical formulations. We offer REACH-compliant TEG from our Rotterdam facility in bulk and packaged formats.
Tri Ethylene Glycol (CAS 112-27-6) is a colorless, viscous liquid with excellent hygroscopic and solvent properties. It is widely used in gas dehydration systems to remove water vapor from natural gas streams. TEG also finds applications in specialty solvents, heat transfer fluids, and plasticizer production.

What is Tri Ethylene Glycol used for?
It is mainly used in gas dehydration systems and heat transfer fluids.
Is TEG water soluble?
Yes. It is fully miscible with water.
Is TEG toxic?
TEG has low acute toxicity but should still be handled with appropriate safety precautions.
Does TEG degrade under heat?
It is thermally stable under standard operating temperatures for heat exchange systems.
